Emcee, Host, Facilitator & Keynote
In my time working on conferences and events, I have learned that the heart of every gathering is a story. When I emcee or host an event, my goal is to create space that feels grounded in community. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of hosting events in Métis communities across Canada. I love hosting. It always reminds me of the power of kinship, commuting and visiting.
I have also had the privilege of delivering several keynotes at Metis conferences. My keynote ‘Finding Marie Callihoo’ chronicles my journey through Metis history in search of the women’s stories. The keynote centers the story of Marie and my journey through patriarchal records to find her. I have performed this keynote for a variety of audiences from Metis women’s youth gatherings to a Metis global summit.
